Heidi

Heidi Klum was born in Bergisch Gladbach Germany on June 1st 1973. She was the daughter of an Erna employed as a hairdresser. Gunther Kum worked as a manager for the cosmetics industry. Heidi's Father was previously the producer of 4711 the company that produces perfume. Her hometown was Bergisch Gladbach, a small town with a population of around 100,000 just six miles from Cologne was the place where she grew up. She is a former German-American model, who currently performs as a host on TV as well as producer and fashion designer. Karin advised Klum, who was a student of 18 years old to be a contestant on the German television talent show named Model 92. Model 92, a show supported by the German women's magazine Petra was a late night talk show which was hosted by Thomas Gottschalk. Klum was competing against over the 25,000 contestants who came from Germany as well as Europe until she was one of three semifinalists. She won the $300,000 top model prize in the month of April, 1992.
